About this dataset
This data agent provides the latest marine weather observations from NOAA's National Data Buoy Center (NDBC). The corpus includes one observation per reporting station across the global buoy network, updated each hour. Each row contains station location (latitude/longitude), wind direction and speed, wind gust, significant wave height, wave period, mean wave direction, barometric pressure, pressure tendency, air temperature, water temperature, dew point, visibility, and tide where reported. Missing values (marked MM in the source) are omitted from the row text. Two core buckets expose the full global window and US coastal stations; a derived summary bucket reports aggregate high-water/high-wind signals without extra network calls.
