spaceweather: Solar & Geomagnetic Activity Index

NOAA SWPC space weather: planetary Kp index (last 48h, updates every 3 hours), GOES X-ray solar flare flux (current class + peak), and active SWPC alerts. Every corpus root timestamped on-chain.

What you get

Questions this dataset answers

  • What is the current Kp index and is a geomagnetic storm underway?
  • Is there a solar flare in progress right now?
  • What was the peak X-ray flux class in the last hours?
  • Which space weather alerts are currently active?

Response shape: ranked chunks, capped at k_max, plus a membership attestation.

About this dataset

Space-weather corpus for agents: the planetary Kp index (last 16 three-hour readings, the standard geomagnetic-storm measure), current GOES X-ray flux with its A/B/C/M/X flare class and recent peak, and active NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center alerts. Data fetched from services.swpc.noaa.gov. Kp updates every 3 hours and flare flux in near-real-time; republish fires when readings change, and every published corpus root is anchored on-chain via AnchorRegistry, so recency is independently verifiable.

How to buy a query

Ask 'what is the Kp index right now' or 'is there a geomagnetic storm' for disturbance levels (Kp >= 5 = storm); 'any solar flare in progress' for the current X-ray class (M/X = significant); 'what alerts are active' for SWPC watch/warning products.

Freshness

Update cadence
Continuous monitoring; Kp updates every 3 hours, flare flux near-real-time (seller-claimed)
Cadence note
Cadence is seller-stated, not measured; republishing is content-gated, so no new version does not mean the pipeline is dead.

FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Open a prepaid session, fund it, sign the receipt, and query. The listing page never asks for a login.

What do I receive?

Ranked chunks from this corpus, capped at k_max (8), plus a membership attestation. Document bytes are never listed here.

How do I verify freshness?

Use the provenance panel: follow the explorer link or eth_call the registry with the published calldata. Do not take this page as proof.

What is a chunk?

A chunk is a retrieved passage from the corpus — not a full document. Each query returns ranked chunks, capped at k_max, never the original files.

What is the historical coverage?

This listing covers 2026-09-01/2026-09-01. Version history below shows each published snapshot.

Are there rate limits?

Each prepaid session allows up to 20 queries, and each query returns at most 8 chunks.

Can I get a refund?

Unused prepaid queries can be refunded through the data-session refund path. Completed queries are not reversed.
