About this dataset
Corpus buckets: usn-newest (10 most recent Ubuntu Security Notices with USN id, title, publish date, affected Ubuntu series, top CVE references, summary and reboot instruction), usn-kernel (subset affecting the Linux kernel — the reboot-required, fleet-stopping rollups patch-ops cares about most), usn-summary (derived window stats: notice count, kernel share, distinct CVE count, newest USN id + date). Source: ubuntu.com/security/notices.json (official Canonical feed, keyless; ~2.5 notices/day with near-daily kernel rollups — probed live, newest notice 1.8h old). Each row carries the canonical notice URL for verification against ubuntu.com. Cadence honesty: Ubuntu ships multiple USNs most days but quiet 2-3 day stretches happen; 96h stale threshold covers them. Freshness verifiable on-chain via anchored corpus fingerprints.
